Before kids, Abe and I traveled to Chicago. We are big Bears fans so we would go during football season, catch a game, and explore the city. We hadn’t been back since having kids. Our boys have seen pics of us in Chicago and ever since Ezra discovered football they have been begging to go. Well let me tell you….going to Chicago with these two was a much more fun experience. I wasn’t sure what to expect since it’s a big city and there is A LOT of walking. Ezra and Roman are champs!! They walked the city every day without a complaint. And seeing the city through their eyes was priceless!

Since it wasn’t football season we took a tour of Soldier Field. Sooooooo worth it! I highly recommend it. Abe was on cloud 9!

Another favorite was the river tour. This was right up Ezra’s ally since he is my history lover. Not sure where he gets that from but it’s not me. We learned about the buildings and architecture in Chicago and the Chicago Fire. I just ordered a book on the Chicago Fire for him to read this summer per his request.

Cracked me up how excited they were to get on the train. Love how kids remind you to enjoy the little things.

The museums were lots of fun. Roman’s favorite part was petting the sturgeon at the Shedd Aquarium.

We did go to the Willis Tower and made the line to take a pic in the skydeck ledge that sits on the 103rd floor. Yeah so all 4 of us are scared of heights and that pic was never taken. It came to our turn and we all looked at each other like I am not doing that. Thank god because I would of passed out…..seriously I would have. I am not the friend that you take on a ferris wheel for the first time cause you will be all alone on that ferris wheel. I hate to say it but it’s so true. Me and heights don’t do well or anything at all together.

We made so many great memories and the boys had such a wonderful time. When we got home I ordered a photo book from our trip. Surprised the boys with it after school one day. They loved it. Think I may have started a new tradition with photobooks 😉 I catch them looking at it too which makes me so happy.
